About me and my Practice

Sue Leahy

I am an accredited cognitive behavioural therapist with nine years experience of working in the NHS in talking therapy services.  Prior to this I worked in the NHS for over 20 years as an occupational therapist in a variety of mental health settings.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

At Happier Self CBT, I specialise in cognitive behavioural therapy, an evidence based treatment for a variety of difficulties. This collaborative approach supports a development of understanding in how a difficulty has arisen and, crucially, the identification of what changes might be helpful to make to maximise wellbeing.

With years of experience working in the NHS, I bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to my private practice. My background enables me to understand various mental health challenges and the impact of life circumstances on wellbeing.
